LAS VEGAS FIASCO

Firstly, I hear on the grapevine that instead of having to play a qualifier to each the Las Vegas final, the casino is now saying that you can pay £80 and go straight into the final. Can someone confirm for me if this is true or not. If it is correct it is totally unfair to all people who have entered qualifiers ( whether they have qualified or not ). Surely, Any rules for a tournament can not be changed mid-tournament.

Secondly, The date for the final is 25th March which has been advertised on the web-site right from the site. However, looking at the poker schedule there are now qualifiers due to take place right into April. Have they also changed the date of the final mid-tournament?

I hope that I am wrong on both counts, but if either or both is true then it is a total disgrace and an abhorrent way for the casino to recoup some of the cost of the prizes. Just because there have not been a lot of entrants for the qualifiers for the tournament so far does not give the casino the right to change the rules mid-tournament. To do so, loses the casino all credibility and reduces the casino to the rank of a mickey mouse shambles.

Needs looking at this.... think of people that have bought in on the basis its played on 25th and then its changed to after april.

This is very cheap of the casino if this is true.

Also the fact that the 3k guaranteed that is meant to take place this friday has now disappeared from the schedule is also cheap. Fair enough lack of dealers may be a problem but to save some credibility change it to wed or thurs at least. But cancel it together. What is the point of having a 3k guaranteed tournament advertised for 5 months to cancel it for no fault of the players who planned to take part.

Just cheap.

The casino seems to show no care at all for the poker players who are the most regular customers, there every week and in some cases most nights of the week. Keep in mind in the old casino the only players that were ever their was the poker players. Most nights other than poker players there would be 15-20 other people there maximum.

Its worth noting the banner is still advertising the original date of the poker final also... 25th March.

Also this could be down to a simple fact that somebody has updated the poker schedule and skipped out March lol....

The schedule goes 28th February, 1st April

No the final is still on the same date, with 3 packages worth £1750 each for 2 people to travel to Las Vegas

The rules have not changed, as with any final event, if seats remain players can buy in for the full stake £80 + fee for the final table. Restricted to 60 players

The qualifiers give you the chance to get a seat for £25 on the final table.

It appears we under valued the event as alot of players have stated they intended just to pay the full stake and play in the final event!

If the qualifiers through heats take all the seats, then none will be available on the day. We will continue to play mini events on Wednesday for seats for the final event, and as the few players that have attended know, we have given a better return off these seats to players then the 4 for 1 advertisied.

The Guarnteed events where scheduled for the opening 2 weeks, and as you can see from the new schedule, we have added more guarnatees!

This is incorrect....

The guaranteed events were scheduled up until this sunday. Please check the leaflets that were include in the fortune booklet. The schedule on one of them ran until this Sunday (Or Friday) and includes one final 3k guaranteed taking place on Friday 20th February!

This should still stand, cant cancel something thats guaranteed. and this was the original schedule it looks like someone has made a mistake and thought the schedule was done until the 15th, which is incorrect. it was done for a further week. This weeks shud still stand, especially the main tournament which is the 3k guaranteed rebuy

I will be there next wednesday when i get back from UK. Will just be my luck there are 100 playing and the ones i missed only 4 played.

the website should now be corrected - This Friday IS a £25 + £5 rebuy guarantted at £3K


We have checked all events played so far, and they have all been played & paid as advertised.
